Betty Drake is running for re-election, after completing her first term on Scottsdale City Council. After 16 years of volunteer work in Scottsdale on the Historic Preservation Task Force, Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force, Public Art Board, Development Review Board, Planning Commission and community organizations, Betty was the only candidate elected to City Council on the first ballot, by an overwhelming 68.5% of the voters.

Since taking office, she has worked hard to strengthen Scottsdale as a great place to live, work, visit and do business. Her 35+ years of community involvement in Arizona and her professional background in urban design, neighborhood preservation and city planning give her valuable perspective on current Scottsdale issues and events.
